The topical forums are set upon a reply basis only and so visitors and regulars alike will need to place topic requests within this thread. This is so in order to regulate the flow and maintain the tidyness of topics on the forums and is not intended as a stifler to speech.
So this is how it works - When you place a topic request (loosely in the format outlined below) a moderator will consider setting up a new topic for you and others to discuss. If a thread with much overlap already exists then the moderator might propose a continuation of discussion there.
-----
The following is an example of a standard request:
Topic - Trees
Context - Deforestation
Content (AS IS (or COMMENT)) - I personally think that this could be a problem but would like to hear from people about what they think of this phenomenon. (This is only an example - This would likely not be opened as a topic simply because it is a one-liner ^_~)
-----
If there is no topic on trees in the context of deforestation then a new topic would likely be set up as follows:
Topic - Trees and Deforestation (poster)
I personally think that this could be a problem but would like to hear from people about what they think of this phenomenon.
(and then come the comments and replies)
-----
Don't be shy - Place topic requests here. :c)
