With the days pressing on I figured that it would be a good idea to check with my faculty exactly what date the resits would be scheduled for. At least, that was the plan. It transpired that even as the resit period approaches students are being left in the dark as to the precise day or time their resits shall be scheduled for.

It is highly annoying to be expected to “check back in about a week” for something so trivial. Yet I guess it is yet another vent for frustration on the same University’s anti-progressive (and backwards, might I add) policy of relegating resit results to a maximum of a ‘D’, regardless of performance.

Indeed this gem follows a logic not too dissimilar from the ancient, and thankfully no longer practiced, “tradition” of tossing girls into a lake with their thumbs tied to their large toes ‘to see if they are witches’.

Indeed… the University of Malta seems to hold structure more dearly as a concept than education itself…
