It would not be an understatement to say that the establishment of this fora has brought much personal satisfaction to myself. While many of the short-comings of the front page remain to be dealt with, largely due to my own inability to remedy them, the heart and soul of the movement is in place, ready to be imbued with the spirit of those out there who would wish to imbue it, myself included.

Those following events in Malta would know that there was a recent uproar over the holding of a conference by Dr. Rebbecca Gomberts of ‘Women on Waves’ fame. The esteemed lady has made a reputation for herself travelling from shore to shore in a boat equipped to deal with abortions.

As might have been expected a relatively large turnout of protesters was recorded, chanting the rosary and encroaching upon the threshold of the hotel where the conference was being hosted. As might also have been expected a couple of these decided that testing the octaves of their voices was inappropriate fashion in which to state their cases, mostly in the vein of “God said (this)” and “God said (that)” and “You are bringing a curse into this country! A curse!”, etc etc. before storming out of the conference hall, clearly not willing to listen to any kind of response.

With the initial consideration of the meaning and attributes of quality itself out of the way we can now revisit the relationship between quantity and quality, particularly the role that each plays in our evaluation of them within any context as well as their actual performance in relation to each other. As mentioned quality can counteract quantity and the truth is that the reverse is also true.

Let us take a hypothetical example to illustrate the concept of quality versus quantity. If we roll a marble weighing 20 grams upon a flat surface from the North and roll a marble weighing 10 grams into it from the south, each at 5km/ hour then the result would be as follows:
