Just over two months ago I had placed a basic list of things that I felt were preventing me from seriously publicizing Path Forger upon the various fora. I think that it would not be amiss for me to go over this list to determine progress. ^_^
1.) A good visual introduction. No progress here. Perhaps I’ll be able to incorporate this into a mini-course starting later this month. I’m really hoping to include something either in flash format or as a you-tube plug-in. Again, the menu on the front page isn’t ‘bad’ per se but I feel that a menu isn’t really going to tell people what Path Forger is all about - certainly not in a glance.
2.) An improvement to the “About Us” section has been made. Inclusion of a mission statement has been achieved, as well as a more comprehensive, if brief, introduction to myself. There remains room for improvement of course and I think that the next step should be the inclusion of some kind of sub section inviting of others out there to join in.
3.) I’ve switched MS Outlook for Thunderbird… but it still feels like playing roulette when it comes to attempting to respond to emails received. This has grown to be quite an annoyance and I must admit that I am clueless as how to progress… ~_~
4.) The footer for the front page has been completed. It has been made nice and simple. Too simple perhaps but beggars cannot be choosers. Its also clear that the scroll bar is something that I shall have to live with until such a day comes that I can afford an upgrade in content management system. Still, the footer does add an element of completion, template-wise.
5.) The”Associates” section has seen no change. Early days but yes, I may get around to improving it.
Well that is the update for the moment. Aside from the email issue I feel that they can be lived with… though I’ll also admit that more content in the main page would be nice. Once things are fully dealt then perhaps I’ll be able to publicize the site without reservations.
