Let us now look at the different upgrades in more detail.

Cupgrade

Starting with the humble cupgrade, this upgrade just lets super animals drink their health juice at a faster rate than they otherwise would be able to. This can be useful for a variety of situations, such as healing up from a fight faster, and being better able to keep up with the poisonous effects of darts or skunk gas.

Super Snorkel

Speaking of skunk gas, another upgrade to mention is the super snorkel, which not only reduces damage that a super animal takes while within skunk gas, it also gives the super animal a pretty big speed boost while moving in the gas.

This upgrade is not present in The Bwoking Dead.

S.A.W. Impossible Tape

Next up, one comes to the SAW Impossible Tape upgrade. Not only does this upgrade allow a super animal to repair armour at a faster rate than normal, when the super animal kills another super animal, any armour that such a super animal drops is also repaired by one tick, and having a non-broken armour that can be picked up on whim can be very handy in an on-going fight. Just keep in mind that any super animal can pick up such armour.

Ninja Boots

Staying on the move is quite important, and the ninja boots upgrade not only improves a super animal’s speed a little, but makes such movement a lot more quiet. Noise and detection are very important elements in the game, especially in the Royale, as it can make the difference between a fight and an ambush!

Super Bandolier

The super bandolier is a simple upgrade that allows a super animal to carry more bullets as well as an extra throwable or so.

However, it also mildly cuts down on reload times by 5%. This can assist with action economy.

Claw Boots

The claw boots upgrade work very differently. They do not make you move more quietly but they are great for moving on shallow water, eggs and ice as if they were normal terrain. They also cut grass a lot more efficiently than doing so using a melee weapon would… but they also cut that grass very involuntarily and this is the upgrade’s main drawback. It will give away your position if you are not careful.

This upgrade is not represented in SvR.

Banana Forker

The Banana forker is an upgrade that makes things eaten with it more appetizing. Consumables that are picked up off the ground provide more healing than normal. The forker also allows a super animal to actually eat banana peels that are on the ground, and that are not black with skunk gas exposure. Doing so also provides a nice boost of health – which means that this upgrade turns any bananas carried into a convenient stash of health, and it also means that bananas in your path are much less of an issue. They can be interacted with using the same button one pressed to jump out of an eagle. Just do remember to actually interact with the banana before walking over them as this won’t stop you from slipping up on them if you forget.

‘Next’, we’ll be looking at aim. How to aim right, specifically.
