As you play the game, at the end of matches you gain usually random strands of SuperAnimal DNA, and Super Serums.
These may be collected and used in the Research Lab. Let’s break down the various components of the page!

- 1 – At the beginning of the game, the base versions of the Super Fox, Bear, Skullcat and Tiger are unlocked.
- 2 – If the base species remains to be unlocked, and enough DNA is collected, then a button here unlocks the species.
- 3 – If the base species is unlocked, sub-species can be explored.
- 4 – On the right a depiction of the superanimal (sub)species is visible.
- 5 – This is the Research Laboratory. Doctor Jennifer Dogna heads Research.
- 6 – If more subspecies remain to be unlocked, The amount of that species’ DNA and how much is needed to unlock the cheapest subspecies is shown.
- 7 – Waiting for the right species DNA to show up can make things grindy. Magnets can be used to guarantee that a few matches will drop particular DNA.
- 8 – At the top one sees the number of (sub) species unlocked, and how many exist in total.
- 9 – Super Serum is also needed to unlock (sub) species.
- 10 – The number of magnets possessed is shown – and it caps at 99 magnets.
The ‘next’ screen to examine is the Customize menu.
