If you haven’t been over hamster balls as a subject then it’s worthwhile to come back here once you do.

but this time with respect to their role and use in SAW vs. Rebellion mode.

On any SvR map one will find a few hamster balls sitting around, but additionally there are two hamster balls that spawn in next to each team’s spawn plate.

These hamster balls serve the purpose of helping a respawning SuperAnimal to get back to the action sooner.

When a hamster ball is destroyed, after some seconds, a replacement hamster ball is spawned in next to spawn.

But that is IF the hamster ball is destroyed. Some players have a habit of abandoning the hamster ball when they expect to be approaching the action, or when they encounter difficulties navigating it.

That hamster ball is never going to respawn, because it already exists. Because of this, that team is now playing at a slight handicap, as they only have one hamster ball to help carry SuperAnimals to the front.

So practice good team etiquette. If you suspect that a hamster ball from your spawn was abandoned, then either use or destroy it, allowing it to cycle back to spawn.

In the off hand chance that you encounter an abandoned hamster ball that you suspect to belong to the opposition, one slightly underhanded option available to you is to get into it, and roll it far out of the way of where players can be expected to be. Doing so means that the opposing team is now playing at a slight handicap –  and it’s the fault of the muppet who abandoned and failed to destroy it.

One more thing. Don’t be that player who shoots at your spawn hamster balls. If you don’t want to use them then fine, but other players want and need to use them. Such is no better than throwing bananas in the path of team mates. Grow a spine and save your malice for the enemy.

This concludes guidance for SvR. ‘Next’ we’ll be moving on to Bwoking Dead mode.
