Heavy automatic class weapons:

That which defines a heavy automatic:

  • It features fully automatic action. Hold fire to fire.
  • It has a reasonably sized ammunition clip.
  • It makes use of heavy bullets ammunition.
  • Its fire rate and its damage per second is quite high.
  • It is effective at all ranges and sustains damage better over range.
  • It is relatively heavy and this can mildly hinder mobility.
  • It is versatile.

Good old reliable, the AK spitting out heavy ammunition at a steady rate. This weapon is pretty effective at all ranges, but does slow you down a little. Also be mindful of other weapons that can either out damage per second you up-close, or which are more accurate than you at range.

It is a fairly good all rounder though.

Similar and better is true of the rarer quality M-16 weapon. Both weapons have a 25 heavy bullet clip.

One thing that is true for most automatic weapons. Spam firing them is only one way to use them, and doing so can result in lower accuracy firing. Another way to play them is to shoot, move, and shoot again. Tap-firing an automatic weapon is a good way to keep the recoil down to a reasonable level. Speaking of which, pressing the F6 key (by default) on your keyboard will bring up an additional recoil spread indicator. This is helpful, so do consider turning it on.

A further thing to point out about automatic weapons is that they will seem to consume ammunition more freely than their non-automatic counterparts. This can be more of a consideration in non Royale modes.
