Suppressor Class Weapons

That which defines a suppressor:

  • It features fully automatic action. Hold fire to fire.
  • It takes a moment or so to begin firing.
  • It has a large ammunition cartridge or clip.
  • Its fire rate and its damage per second is very high.
  • It is effective at all ranges and sustains damage decently over range.
  • It tends toward heaviness and this can hinder mobility.
  • It is powerful out in the open, vulnerable to those behind cover.

The superite laser is a gun that takes a short moment to charge-up time before spitting out laser projectiles. Its damage drop off at range and recoil does mean that it performs better at shorter ranges, but a 50 shot clip provides a bit of a power trip as laser projectiles fan outward. It is currently also the only weapon in the game that uses superite ammunition – though one would expect that this is probably going to change.

The minigun, on the other hand, is a legendary rarity weapon that can exclusively be found in mole crates. This weapon is heavy, and is capable of spitting out a high volume of projectiles for a fairly long time, thanks to its impressive one hundred small bullet clip size. It does need some time to spin up, but once it does, it is quite the power trip. Just be mindful of the lower mobility one has while using it.

The large clip size is the only reason why these weapons don’t run out ammunition fast.
