You are (probably) a new player and have probably played other games in the past.

So… is this one worth your time or money?

It certainly can be, and you can find out for yourself within less than ten minutes. Probably.

But here are a couple trailers that have been made over the years to help further whet your appetite:

Super Animal Royale is a game that unlocks 100% of game’s mechanics from the start.

There is no grind to unlock some skill or equipment or level that will grant you a more equal chance in-game. No characters that are more powerful than others, as they all play the same.

In this sense, the game very much respects the time of its players. You can play it for days on end or you could play it while waiting for your microwave meal to cook.

You very much get to choose how much time you want to spend playing it, and the level 1 player playing their first match has every bit as much chance as the level 9,000 player playing their umpteenth match, leaving aside any potential skill disparities, of course.

Yes it does! However these progression systems provide no in-game advantage.

The developers of the game depend a lot on cosmetics purchases, along with a sprinkle of merchandise, to earn their living.

Even so, there are a lot of cosmetics that can be obtained by simply playing the game.

The game is Free-to-Play. The player who spends $0 has as much chance as the player who spends a lot more.

The reasons why one might want to spend money on the game would vary. Sometimes it could come down to one or more cosmetic items that you might really like and so don’t mind paying for, while at other times it might be a good perceived value, while at other times it might be a gesture of support to the developers.

As for how much you could expect to spend on the game, for significantly less than $10 you could pick up the active starter pack, which would typically have some very neat cosmetics included, as well as enough in-game currency to buy the active Animal Pass.

What? The Animal Pass is soon going to close? That’s okay! One thing that Super Animal Royale does right is to allow players to work towards unfinished purchased passes at their own pace. Also, unlike other games, once a pass is replaced with a new one, you can still choose to obtain it later. Same goes for any other past Animal Pass. It will just cost more in-game currency than when it was active. Much better than fading away into obscurity.
