Okay so your SuperAnimal has made it onto the ground after its descent from the giant eagle.

The only thing that a SuperAnimal has when it lands is something to whack others with up-close. Not bad, but it’s best not to bring just a sword or other melee weapon to a gun fight. The first thing that a SuperAnimal needs to do is to find something – anything – to pick up.

In Royale mode there are plenty of things to pick up, and they can be found in various places.

How does one pick things up, that need picking up?

By hitting the same key that is used to jump out of the eagle.

Notice that that key gets a lot of use, and we’re nowhere near done with it.

Okay so your SuperAnimal has picked something up. There are a few different types of things that can be picked up, and as your SuperAnimal picks them up, its inventory as a SuperAnimal begins to fill.

Some things are picked up manually (requiring a key press), while other things are picked up automatically.

This is as good a time as any to go over a player’s inventory slots as a super animal.

The following are things that a SuperAnimal can pick up:

Weapons: Up to two slots of weapons. This is manual. Picking up a third weapon will drop one’s currently equipped weapon onto the ground in the process.

An Upgrade: A single slot for upgrades. This is manual. Picking up a second upgrade will drop one’s currently equipped upgrade onto the ground in the process.

Armour: A single slot for armour. This is manual. Picking up a second set of armour will drop one’s currently equipped armour onto the ground in the process.

Throwables: A single slot for throwables. Collecting the first throwable type that one comes into contact with is automatic, as is picking up more of the same kind of throwable. However, picking up a different kind of throwable (and dumping any other kind of throwables one was carrying onto the ground in the process) is a manual key press action.

Resources: Health Juice, Super Tape, and various Ammunition types each have their own dedicated slots and are collected automatically.

‘Next’, guns and the pointer will be covered.
