When you drop sixty four SuperAnimals in a place as big as Super Animal World, it is entirely plausible for various SuperAnimals to either not come into contact with each other or to outright avoid contact with each other.
That won’t do when you’re trying to run a Royale, and so super skunk gas was introduced.
Shortly after landing upon the island, a circular wall of skunk gas would begin to encroach upon and wash over the island
At first the potency of this gas is mild and can easily be healed up through juice and the like, but the intensity and damage level of the gas does become a lot more potent by the time the circle of gas begins its final close, and healing only serves to slow the process of dying to it. This helps to limit the length of matches.

During the course of a match the small timer to the top middle of the screen counts down with either a white or green circle.
While it is white, the timer indicates when the circle of gas is next going to begin closing.
While it is green, the circle has already begun closing, and will reach its next resting point, or fully close if it is the final circle, when the timer reaches zero.
It is natural instinct to avoid the skunk gas, but it can also be true that your best chances for survival or victory lie within the skunk gas, depending on the circumstances.
Before concluding this guide on mechanics, ‘next’ I would like to cover giant emus and hamster balls.
