Pistol Class Weapons:
That which defines a pistol:
- It is lighter to carry – and so does little to impede movement.
- It is quick to reload – and so pauses in aggressions are easier to take advantage of.
- It makes use of little bullet ammunition.
- While it is single action, its potential fire rate, and therefore damage per second, is very high.
- The range of the weapon is decent although it has a significant damage drop-off at range.
- Both of these qualities improve with weapon rarity level.
Pistols and Dual Pistols
About as humble a fire-arm as you’ll ever come across is the pistol. but between its fast reloads and its light weight doing practically nothing to slow your super animal down, this is a solid standard. Just keep in mind that it performs better at short range than at longer ranges.
What’s more, if you pick up another pistol while a pistol is in your inventory slots then you’ll have formed a set of twin pistols within a single weapon slot, and the set takes on the properties of the better rarity pistol! It performs similarly to a single pistol with twice the pistol’s round clip capacity. Watch out for the cool reload animation.

Silenced Pistols
Things that set these apart from pistols:
- Quieter firing sound
- Longer range and significantly better damage drop-off at range.
- Better clip ammo than a pistol but no ability to turn into duals.
This is a special kind of pistol called a silenced pistol.
As the name suggests, it fires rounds much more quietly than normal pistols. It trades a bit of close range performance for a significantly better longer-range performance.
It has a twelve round clip, and no, it does not pair with other weapons to form dual pistols.
